Everton Frois

A short story of a troubled teenager,

Everton is still a young man, relatively inexperienced, but is rather clever and resourceful. Everton's parents were both fairly skilled rangers who left a comfortable life in Triboar accepting an offer from a lesser Cormyrian noble to lead an offensive against bandits who were troubling said noble's lands. Everton and his elder sister and younger brother accompanied his parents to the foreign land. As his parents were often attending to official business, Everton began as an adolescent to mix with characters of unsavory reputation. He inherited a lust for danger and a daring disposition and soon found himself causing mischeif to his parents dismay. He found his parents devotion to noble causes restricting and in rebellion began to hunt with a group of Malarites.

Everton then became astranged from his family and spent two months participating in the atrocious behavior of his new cult. By this time Everton was reaching manhood and was eager to prove himself to the Malarite's at his first High Hunt. However, to his dismay, the prey the Malarite clergy had chosen to hunt turned out to be his own father. Everton was not willing to murder his father and refused to participate in the ritual causing the Malarites to count him as prey along with his father. As the odds were stacked against them, it is a miracle that Everton survived and this is only because of the wisdom and experience of his father who did not survive the ordeal.

Upon escaping, Everton vowed to honor his father by following in his father's faith and redeeming himself of the atrocities he commited as a Malarite. Ashamed, he dared not face his family and he fled far from Cormyr eventually bringing him to the friendly town of Dragon Dale. Everton still feels responsible for his father's death.

Everton wears his hair a medium legnth cutting it occasionally with his skinning knife just so it is out of his way. His beard is light and he normally appears clean shaven. He usually smells of campfire and has an oily complexion and greasy hair due to his vagrant status and his affinity to living in the woods.
